Caterpillar Inc. has opened the Black Hills Engineering Design Center in Rapid City South Dakota. The 17,000-sq-ft facility uses virtual reality and advanced visualization to help engineers design, test and refine machines faster while reducing costs. The center supports global teams and strengthens partnerships with South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
