Construction has begun on the final 2.6-mi. section of the $2.83 billion State Route 167 Expressway in Pierce County Washington. This key project improves freight access to the Port of Tacoma and enhances safety for commuters. Scheduled to open in September 2029 the expressway includes new interchanges trail connections and wetland restoration.
