Gov. Gavin Newsom announced on July 16, 2026, announced nearly $2.5 billion in funding for more than 150 projects to improve state highway systems, advance public transit and create good-paying jobs. Through the California Transportation Commission (CTC), this investment brings the Newsom administration's total transportation allocations for fiscal 2025-26 to approximately $13.8 billion.
