1 dead following industrial accident at construction site

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Emergency crews responded to the scene of a construction incident in southwest Lubbock on Thursday. Just after 9 a.m., first responders were called to a collision near 114th Street and Upland. Lubbock police said 38-year-old Pete Martinez III was working with his street construction crew when he was walking near a front end loader.Martinez was unintentionally ran over and died.
