How does one monitor and record weather patterns at a construction site using Thermopro ? How does pressure, humidity and temperature affect a high rise construction in a region where weather is not adverse? mostly sunny with moderate rainfall. submitted by /u/Appropriate_Bed5595 [link] [comments]
Iām looking to hire skilled stone polishers / edge finishers (marble, sandstone, granite) from India for a UK-based company. Where should I look to find such workers in India? Any specific regions, platforms, or agencies that actually work? submitted by /u/Hour_Mortgage7382 [link] [comments]
I built a tool to stop me from being the guy who nags clients about unpaid invoices
Running a 9-person crew. I'm good at framing. I'm bad at sending "hey, you still owe me $4,200" texts. Built ChaseBot to do it for me. Polite follow-ups, automated, takes the awkwardness out of it. Using it myself right now. Recovered $3,800 in the last 45 days from clients who just... kept forgetting. Not selling anything yet ā just seeing if this actually works for other trades guys before I charge $20/mo. If you want early access, hit me up. Free for the first 50 guys. submitted by /u/Best...
I couldnāt find a good place for traveling construction jobs⦠so I started tracking them
Most traveling construction jobs (shutdowns, industrial, per diem work) seem weirdly hard to find in one place. Youāve got to jump between: Company career pages Union boards Random word of mouth Old job posts that may or may not still be active facebook group Chaoa It gets pretty frustrating if youāre actively looking. So I started collecting these roles in one placeāmainly focused on travel + per diem construction jobs across different contractors. Itās still early, but I figured it might ac...
Powering heavy machinery on a remote site with the OSCAL PowerMax 6000 Power stations.
Iāve been taking the OSCAL PowerMax 6000 to our off-grid cabin build. Most portable Power stations trip the breaker when I start my miter saw or table saw, but this unit handles the initial surge without breaking a sweat. The build quality on the OSCAL PowerMax 6000 is solid enough for a dusty, messy job site. Itās become our primary power source for the whole crew's tools and charging stations throughout the day. If you're a pro who needs high-wattage power in the field, this is the most rel...

Hey dumb question, I'm relatively new to construction. However, in a few months I will be transferring over the union side of my company. I am under he impression that I cannot smoke weed on my off time(not at work). Is that true? Do they test for weed? If they do test, is weed acceptable. I'm probably retarted. But I just want to cover all bases. TIA EDIT: Also, is there anything online from Local 472 stating their policy directly? TIA submitted by /u/Expensive_Drop_7446 [link] [comments]
I work in residential construction In Northern California and here lots of guys call the slab stone fab/installer the granite guy. Even if theyāre installing marble, Caesarstone, whatever. Latino guys call all slabs āgranito.ā Is that everywhere or just a west coast thing? submitted by /u/ink_wiring_mind [link] [comments]
Do i really need a 3 grand gorlitz?
Im a in my baby stages if plumbing. Good enough to go out in my own. Still young enough to cry when people tell me to "figure it out good luck" Man I was inherited bad equipment for drain cleaning. There are 3 gorlitz machines that were just destroyed by retards. Sucks because they look like they should be perfect for what i need. But might be overkill. I was.wondering if im doing mostly 2-3 inch branch lines and 75 feet of 4 inch mains. Could I just by 2 of the rigid machines from home depot...
what changed your lead quality more than ad spend?
We tested a simple intake change: required budget range + urgency + project photos before calls. No ad changes. Lead count dipped a bit, but qualified conversations went up and no-show calls dropped. Curious what intake filters worked best for others. submitted by /u/No_Chap [link] [comments]

I need to install a square fence post (8Ć8 cm / ~3Ć3 inches), 2.3 meters tall (~7.5 ft). My problem: the post cannot be centered in the foundation hole which is 30 cm in diameter (~12 inches). It has to sit deliberately off to one side, 5 cm from the edge (~2 inches) (see diagram). Concretely, on one side there is only 5 cm of concrete between the post and the wall of the hole, and on the other side about 17 cm (~6.5 inches). To hold the post in position while pouring, I'm considering two opt...
