Any advice? Is this how construction always is?

Hey all, I'm having a hard time interpreting what I'm doing wrong here. I'm 25, and have been in the construction field since I left highschool. On top of this, I was a US Marine, and have a college education I'm currently pursuing. With this experience, I know a variety of skilled labor, know how to operate equipment, and am rather safe.
