Revit is the first authoring tool Autodesk has selected to be a Forma cloud-connected client, meaning its data can flow from Revit into the Forma cloud at a granular level with no rework or change of files and their data formats. April 7, 2026 Autodesk has updated its Forma design and construction cloud platform with new connections to its core portfolio.The San Francisco software giant had already announced last month a rebrand of Autodesk Construction Cloud into Forma. The company now is proceeding along a roadmap outlined at its Autodesk University conference last year to build deeper connections in design and construction software across project lifecycles, it said.Forma Building Design, a new application featuring parametric design focused on 200- and 300-level detail in the schematic phase using BIM Forum LOD Spec, was formally released April 7. At the company event, Autodesk had demonstrated how users can set up geolocated sites, and create and detail building options with automated design to add or edit facades, floor plans and other elements commonly found in schematic design.
