I’m currently a carpenter for a non union general construction company while preparing for the pipefitters union aptitude test for an apprenticeship, meanwhile I was just offered an industrial maintenance job starting at just over a dollar more than what I make now and from what I can tell it seems like there’s more opportunity for more pay in that trade in my area beyond just that company as long as I build experience, my dilemma is idk if I’ll even get into the union- so idk if I should acc...
