Ben Whiterod joins London builder to drive growth in housing decarbonisation

Whiterod joins as head of retrofit after nine years at United Infrastructure, where he built experience across major social housing upgrade and energy efficiency programmes. He brings more than 15 years in construction and social housing and will now lead Guildmore’s next phase of retrofit growth as clients grapple with tougher standards, changing funding rules and rising demand for end-to-end delivery. Guildmore said Whiterod will focus on expanding its customer-led retrofit strategy, covering the full journey from funding and bid development through to delivery and completion. His track record includes national-scale social housing decarbonisation programmes, planned investment works and complex multi-site retrofit jobs across the UK. Whiterod said: “I’m delighted to be joining Guildmore at such an exciting time for both the business and the retrofit sector. “Guildmore has built a strong reputation in this space, and I’m looking forward to building on that momentum and supporting its continued growth.”
