How to Tie Patio Roof into Existing Roof

I am looking into building a single slope patio cover. For this I would like to extend my roof so the space is waterproof and can be made bug proof. I can't figure out what to do on the end that is next to my gable roof to have one continuous roof. I was thinking some kind of cricket to redirect the flow of water that would come off the gable roof towards the patio cover.
