Poly Foam Board and fiberglass batt LeePenn | Posted in Energy Efficiency and Durability on March 26, 2026 12:43am I’m in South Louisiana building new home, 2×6 wall construction. Considering installing 2″ poly foam board, then r-13 faced fiberglass batt in exterior wall. The siding I’m using is rated as structural, so vapor barrier is on exterior of studs. Also planning on installing double layer unfaced fiberglass batt then 2″ poly foam board (cut to fit in between joists) in ceiling. Attic is “not” conditioned. Any problems seen in this scenario?
