Bidders have until 1 May to chase places on retrofit work packages
The framework is designed to support clients from the earliest planning stages through to live project delivery and ongoing contract management. That means consultants, specialist advisers and installation contractors will all be chasing places. The biggest single package is Lot 6, a £200m total service provision and principal partner solution covering the full lifecycle of decarbonisation projects. This lot is aimed at firms capable of taking public sector clients from feasibility and funding support through to works delivery, reporting and audit. Alongside this sit four £50m consultancy and support lots covering strategic planning support, project planning and feasibility, funding application support and contract management, reporting and audit services. The bulk of the works pipeline is spread across 15 regional delivery lots, each with an estimated value of £40m. These are split by region across London and South East, South West, Midlands and East of England, North West, and North East and Yorkshire. Each region is then divided into three value bands covering projects up to £5m, from £5m to £10m, and above £10m. The work packages are expected to cover a broad spread of building services and retrofit measures including heat pumps, solar, insulation, lighting, district heating, ventilation and wider environmental improvement works.
