Water in the basement finally happened BigSaveDave | Posted in General Questions on March 4, 2026 02:18pm With all of the rain, water is appearing in the basement. There are random puddles around and water is pouring out from between what I think is two layers of concrete floor (see pic with blue cord). I’m not sure what to do aside from keep an eye on it and make sure the sump pump kicks it out every once in a while. It drains far away. Is there a way I can verify it is from ground water levels rising? I was thinking of digging a hole, but that would be like 5-6 feet deep. We are at the bottom of a hill so it may be from that. There are no puddles or standing water outside though – everything is just soggy.
