The Construction Superintendent team at the Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking candidates for a Construction Superintendent position to direct work activities while achieving Lab missions. This role involves overseeing multi-discipline craft workers and ensuring facility modifications adhere to engineering standards.
What You'll Do
- Direct the sequence of work for multi-discipline, bargaining unit craft workers.
- Ensure facility modifications adhere to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards, schedules, and budgets.
- Support the investigation of abnormal events and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Establish and coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Track costs and maintain budgets.
- May work a flexible schedule, including weekends or after hours.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and team management in a unionized environment.
- Knowledge of facility maintenance and construction management.
- Understanding of safety practices and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Ability to interpret physical, mechanical, and electrical documents.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Experience with computerized work management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
