Industrial Construction Engineering Manager | Onsite | Direct Hire | Omaha, NE What Matters Most • Competitive annual salary • Direct hire opportunity with relocation assistance available for the right candidate • Leadership role managing both in-house engineers and third-party design firms • Hands-on position supporting large-scale EPC and industrial construction projects • Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Job Description • Join a privately held industrial construction firm as an Engineering Manager • This role blends technical expertise with leadership, managing a small internal team and external engineering partners while remaining actively involved in design and project coordination • The Engineering Manager will ensure engineering deliverables align with project schedules, budgets, and construction execution needs • Ideal for a mechanical engineering leader who thrives in a field-driven, collaborative environment and wants to make a visible impact on complex industrial projects Responsibilities • Oversee and contribute to engineering design and execution for industrial construction projects • Manage and mentor a team of 4–5 internal engineers and coordinate third-party engineering subcontractors • Maintain alignment between engineering output and construction schedules • Visit job sites as needed to resolve technical issues and support field operations • Lead team meetings, client communications, and project reviews Qualifications and Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred • 8–10+ years of experience in Industrial or EPC construction project environments • Strong understanding of structural, mechanical, and civil systems in industrial applications • Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractor performance • Skilled communicator with the ability to collaborate across engineering, project management, and field operations • Proficiency in Autodesk and Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with project scheduling software a plus • Willingness to travel as needed (approximately once per month on average) Benefits and Perks • Competitive annual salary • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) retirement plan • Paid holidays and PTO • Relocation assistance available Your New Organization Join a well-established, privately held EPC and construction services provider supporting industrial, infrastructure, and energy markets across the U.S. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, combining engineering precision with field execution excellence.
