MEP Construction Project Manager, Hybrid

We are working with leadership at a well-established mechanical contractor to add a Project Manager to their project management team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company has been in business for over 70 years, operating across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Responsibilities
- Own the profitability of assigned projects
- Ensure timelines and project requirements are met
- Manage billing, change orders, collections, and documentation
- Keep leadership informed of project status and issues
- Review job cost, manpower, and change order reports with monthly analysis
- Conduct regular job cost reviews to track profitability and risks
- Coordinate and troubleshoot with superintendents, construction managers, and contractors
- Communicate effectively with internal teams across all levels
- Coordinate manpower and equipment for each project
- Oversee buyouts, change orders, and project closeouts
- Attend and lead job site visits and project meetings
- Ensure accurate job setup, contract review, cost estimates, and schedule of values
- Prepare project reports and participate in management meetings
- Track submittals and generate purchase orders
- Negotiate subcontracts and vendor purchases
Qualifications
- Years of commercial construction, plumbing, HVAC, and/or mechanical project management experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and piping installation
- Solid math skills
- Proficient with basic computer systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- General accounting knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Journeyman Plumber, HVAC, Pipefitter, or similar license or equivalent experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- OSHA 10 certification required
