Senior Construction Manager
job summary: A Senior Construction Manager is needed for one of the world's largest power management and power generation services companies in the Englewood, CO area. This role will act as an Independent Engineer to ensure contractors meet budget, schedule, quality, and performance guarantees through rigorous site monitoring and data verification. location: Englewood, Colorado job type: Contract salary: $63.39 - 88.75 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: • Offer client advisory oversight throughout the entire project execution lifecycle. • Participate in monthly progress meetings to track permitting, engineering, and procurement. • Conduct periodic site visits to verify construction progress and quality of work. • Verify that interconnection and testing activities align with milestone requirements. • Review contractor work plans, resource utilization, and construction methodologies. • Assess quality control procedures, field inspection reports, and construction documentation. • Consult with owners and contractors before major inspections and critical testing. • Evaluate contractor start-up and commissioning plans for commercial readiness. • Monitor the recruitment, staffing, and training of O&M personnel. • Review O&M programs, manuals, and procedures for operational readiness. Skills: • strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, including delivering presentations. • strong Microsoft 365 skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. • History of using sound judgment to make decisions and set priorities. • Prior team leadership experience is highly desired. • Prior experience preparing and/or reviewing project schedules and previous experience loading and/or updating project schedules using Primavera, MS Project or similar. • Prior experience preparing estimates of portions of or entire projects for comparison to bids.
