Job Summary: Assigned to the Construction Organization as the Construction Manager for the New Nuclear Construction Project, reporting directly to the Project Manager. Responsible for the organization and direction of all construction-related activities for the New Nuclear Project. This position may require candidates to work overtime, weekends, and/or night shifts as the project requires.
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinates construction activities including all actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Responsible for total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and industrial relations.
- Ensures development and execution of Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job-site work rules.
- Implements Bechtel’s Zero Accident safety program, security, housekeeping, and fire protection on the construction site.
- Establishes and implements construction schedules, methods, manning charts, material, and equipment requirements.
- Controls all job-site expenditures for labor, equipment, material, and services.
- Responsible for overall project performance and analyzes performances for adherence to quality standards and schedules.
- Plans and establishes procedures to ensure all construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications.
- Maintains effective client relationships and is the primary contact for client's communication with field activities.
- Coordinates all job-site contractual activities and participates in contracts and subcontracts negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of supervisory and/or military experience including management of multifunctional organizations.
- Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of all disciplines.
- Experience managing both subcontracted and self-performed construction projects.
- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
- Direct hire execution experience managing projects of $300M or greater.
