Though that share may be small, women continue to join the industry every year as tradeworkers, project managers, safety experts and CEOs. In 2026, women don’t just build; they drive outcomes and work to open doors for others in the industry, serving as leaders, mentors, teachers and advocates. As part of Construction Dive’s sixth annual Construction Champions program, our editorial team examined 250 entries, combing through each nominee’s impact, experience, commitment to mentorship and project résumé. They were nominated in five categories: Rising Stars — These women are still in the early years of their construction careers, but they have already begun to make their mark on the industry. Up-and-Coming Leaders — These women are the change agents within their companies and the broader construction community. Mentors — These women help others break into the industry and improve the jobsite as a better place for all who work there.
