The government is proposing to establish a single, unified Industry Training Board which would serve the combined construction and engineering construction sectors. It said: “Before a change of this nature can be made, government must consult affected industry.” The consultation began on Monday 23 March 2026 and runs until Sunday 14 June 2026.
