How long does it actually take you guys to get invoices out after a job wraps?

I run a small concrete crew, about 12 guys working 3-4 sites at any given time. Trying to figure out if we're just bad at this or if it's normal. Our process right now is basically: crew fills out paper timesheets at the end of the week (half the time the hours don't add up), my wife spends the weekend going through them and matching everything to jobs, and we usually don't get invoices out until 2-3 weeks after a job is done.
